Saturday 13th November was a night to remember, as two great events in the Weird & Wonderful Calendar came to a head where over 2000 guests were entertained with a mixture of theatre and visual excitement.
As guests were invited to dine in the West Hall, their first stop was the African Jungle complete with 15ft trees, full size animals and sounds of the Rainforest. Greystoke's Tarzan and his companion Cheetah greeted all of the guests, where the reality of the theme was truly brought to life. As guests navigated their way to their fully dressed tables, a cautious eye had to be kept, to ensure that they didn't become part of our crocodile's menu or trampled by our full size Rhinoceros. ![]()
Other destinations on the journey included Turkey, Greece and not forgetting Russia, where guests could enjoy their vodka coctails from our 60ft Red Square ice bar. The Centrepiece to the Event was the 20ft hand creafted Galleon, created and built by our in house set building team. Thanks to D&D Conferencing and Events, especially Simon, Tim & Leslie for having the vision and trust in the Weird & Wonderful creative team.

Simultaneously, the Weird & Wonderful team were called upon to theme the Charity House party at the exclusive Wentworth Golf Club. The overall theme this year was "FRIGHT NIGHT", where over 600 guests met some of the most frightening characters from the world of Horror, including Nosferatu, Frankenstein and The Mummy. Again, guests were free to roam the ancient tombs of Imohtep, the High Preist, complete with 15ft Rameses statues and sarcophagus'. The Clubhouse was transformed with pockets of stand alone set pieces to enhance each character. ![]()
