Weird and Wonderful bring East End Glamour to PeopleSoft

To provide a multi-cultural themed experience of contemporary London, delivering a totally interactive and unique party experience!

Treatment, Creative and Execution
The event was split into three key themes to reflect alternative cultures in London.

Reception
Once the guests entered the venue through a 20ft colourful fabric tunnel, they found themselves surrounded by the sights and sounds of Bollywood/India, including a full size steel sculpture of a gold elephant, giant Buddha, sitar stage and a 40ft wall of archways which doubled up as separate areas for acts such as real life snake charmers, henna tatooists and Indian head massagers.

Two Dining areas
The guests were free to move into two separate dining experiences including an extension of Bollywood, (with a 20ft performers stage) or the Notting Hill Carnival set.

Separate Bar
The PIECE DE RESISTANCE was a complete recreation of an East End Pub(200 sq.ft) complete with singing Pearly King and Queen and Honky Tonk pianist.

Extras
Guests were free to explore, by wondering from one culture to another, surrounded by visual, audio and sensory stimuli. The food also captured the taste buds as well as the atmosphere, thanks to the culinary talents of Payne and Gunter.

Summary
The evening was a complete success. 6 months of planning and building, with a two day installation time all came to a head on the 5th September. 1000 guests partied the night away with with an eclectic mix of food, drink and entertainment.
